Code of Conduct

All delegates, speakers, exhibitors and volunteers at PyCon Italia are expected to abide by the following code of conduct. The organizers will enforce this code throughout the event.

In brief

  • PyCon Italia is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or religion.
  • We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.
  • Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any area of the conference, including presentations.
  • Conference participants who violate these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.

Full version

Harassment includes verbally offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, intentional intimidation, stalking, harassing photographs or recordings, continued disruption of presentations or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants who are asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Exhibitors in the exhibition hall, in sponsor or vendor booths, or similar activities are also subject to the anti-harassment rule. Specifically, exhibitors must not use activity images or other sexualized material. Banquet staff (including volunteers) must not use sexualized clothing/dress/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take whatever action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference without refund.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, contact a conference staff member immediately. Conference staff members are identified by their bright yellow shirts.

Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/site security or local law enforcement, act as an escort, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment so that they feel safe for the duration of the conference. We appreciate your attendance.

We expect participants to follow these rules in all areas of the conference and during social events related to the conference.
