Good UX, bad one even more, impacts not only the design of your APIs, but influences and drives your database layout, query optimizations and performance requirements.
Have you ever worked in a team that did not have a (competent) designer? Where your API is designed by a technical person with a lack of UX knowledge and experience?

I started as a fullstack developer and system administrator. I have been a team lead, a mentor and a software architect. However, I was always, first and foremost, a developer.
