Elevator pitch

Generative art has been mixing computers and art since 60s. In this talk, we will discover how a rising technology such as quantum computing could be applied to generate art and we will “play” with random numbers.

Abstract

Randomness is one of the pillars of generative art, used to produce original artistic content. Quantum computing is extremely interesting because it promises to achieve “true randomness”, only simulated in classical computation. Trying to reproduce works of Vera Molnar, a pioneer in generative art, we will write Quantum Computing circuits to better understand how to generate random numbers.
